Um, yeah...you read that right. I have now completed 19 single socks.
* sighhhhhhhhh*
Here's the proof:
Here are some more shots:
From left to right: Luna Park, Lorna's Lace in Lorikeet, Mountain Colors Bearfoot in Bitteroot Rainbow, Regia, Lana Grossa Meilenweit, Interlacements Tiny Toes, Claudia's Handpaint in Freesia, Koigu KPPPM, and Koigu KPPPM.
From left to right: Koigu KPPPM, Koigu KPPPM, Blue Moon Fibers Arts STR in Farmhouse, Blue Moon Fiber Arts STR in Fire On The Mountain, Brown Sheep Wildfoote, Black Bunny Fibers in Eat Your Veggies, Koige KPPPM, Lorna's Laces, ?, and ? (I'll find out later and edit).
Now, don't let all of these single socks fool you. Let's not get crazy, everybody. I have actually finished quite a few pair - I just haven't taken any pictures because they're in the bottom of my hamper waiting to be soaked in some Eucalan. I'm not sure what my pairs count is, but I can tell you that it's definitely not up to 19. I don't feel guilty about it. Just happy, I guess.
Thank you for enjoying this post,
Erin ;)

That is seriously impressive!
I am sitting here in utter amazement thinking that could happen to me too!! BTW, I did rip that sock out last night and found I had one extra stitch. Go figure!
I think you should just put them together and call them pairs - who says they have to be identical?!? :)
Seriously though - 19 socks is impressive even if they aren't pairs!
Wow. That's some serious sockage there. The best part is that I can look at quite a few of those socks and say, "Oh, yeah, I remember her knitting that one!" I remember the first time we met you were working on a sock that seemed to be mostly yellow, but I didn't see it in the picture. Perhaps it became a pair. :) And I also remember the green Lorna's Laces yarn. So pretty.
And what did I do today??? I went and bought two more balls of Luna Park and one of Jitterbug. It's an addiction!!!
I'm with Kim. Don't think of it as 19 single socks. Think of it as 9 1/2 pairs. You need 1/2 (aka one sock) to make it 10 pairs.
Wow, that's a lot higher than my count! You're part of the Single Sock Liberation Movement, right? :)
you could frame them and call them Art and put them on your wall! No more guilt.....
I don't see a Scrunchie Sock in there anyway. Hmmm. I think that may be a future knitalong sock.
I forgot to mention that if there is RDLP that you are in love with, I MAYBE could part with it.
I don't want to tempt you too much, but just want to let you know that Meredith at The Knaughty Knitter got in some mighty nice Opal cotton sock yarn today....
I'd wear them, mismatched, anyway. What the heck.
Thanks, everyone!! I've already worn two of the green ones together, mismatched. HA! Someday, they will all meet their mates.
Hopefully.
OMG! Too funny! I do love the idea of Leah's, to make them into art!
Love the display! Kind of like the ties in the mens shop - but only better 'cause it's socks!
I've been known to walk around the house wearing socks that didn't match because I couldn't find the 'other'.
These are gorgeous.
:)
Manasi
