Music for the summertime.

Today, I discovered a new band. Well, they're not really a new band. But, they're news to me. Have any of you heard of them? The Lemon Pipers? They were primarily a one-hit wonder - their biggest hit was "Green Tambourine", but their songs are just fun, pop songs. They're fantastic - perfect retro music for the summertime.

Look at these guys:

It's hard to believe they weren't bigger stars. I wonder what happened? It's definitely a mystery we may never solve.

Erin - Barry says they came out of Oxford, OH. Their lead singer was Ivan Browne. One of their lesders, Bill Bartlett, was a member of Ram Jam. They weren't a one-hit wonder - other songs included Rice is Nice, Jelly Jungle (of Orange Marmalade). They are probably performing in oldies shows.
